Bridgetjoans impresses again at Kelso

The Simon Waugh Racing blog is back, and so is Bridgetjoans, who produced her most impressive performance so far at Kelso on Monday (15.04.24) for the Northumberland Racing Club.

With Amie in the saddle for the second time, Bridgetjoans (by And Beyond) made steady progress through the race to hit the front end in the late stages and kept on brilliantly, only beaten by a neck. She and the winner went over six lengths clear of the rest of field!

It was Bridgetjoans’ second appearance at Kelso Racecourse, the first being when she outran enormous odds of 300/1 to finish a good fourth in her novice hurdle back in November.

We are all delighted with her efforts and her attitude – there is an awful lot to look forward to with this bright young mare, who has continued to improve run after run this season.

She finished the race sound and hungry for her feed, so we can all look forward to her next racecourse appearance in the near future.
