The Season Gets Going Properly at Hexham

The Season Gets Going Properly at Hexham

Three great runs at Hexham on Saturday really got the Molesden yard off to a great start in the new season.

The ground was heavy but sloppy which was quite a test for all three horses particularly the two hurdling for the first time.

Corinda, owned by Rhona Brewis, rewarded all the effort that has been put into her with her hurdling debut in the opening race. She handled all the preliminaries well and took that attitude onto the racetrack where she hurdled beautifully with no fuss for Callum Bewley. She finished a fine fifth and should only improve.

No Boundaries, owned by The Northumberland Racing Club (who were out in force) was another hurdling debutante and he took the whole thing in his stride, hurdling well for Amie Waugh and finishing tired but well in the chasing group.

Total Assets, the stalwart of The Northumberland Racing Club, was on her seasonal debut after her magnificent 4 wins last season . It was a case of  "now follow that" and she did it style only coming 2nd to a horse carrying a stone less and fit from a summer campaign.

We have a lot to look forward to.
